Photography & Multimedia

I am a lifelong Atlantan, seasoned photojournalist, photo editor, and multimedia manager.

This year I’m using my photojournalism skills to cover news, sports and political assignments for Associated Press, Picture Group, United Press International and AFP wire services while I put the finishing touches on a long-delayed Journalism degree at Georgia State University.

From 2009-2011, I was the Photo/Multimedia Director at the Athens Banner-Herald and OnlineAthens.com, ushering in many award-winning photos from my great visual staff.

In the summer and fall of 2009, I took my photo and multimedia show to Georgia State University, Soccer United Marketing, Reuters, Target, AOPA, the Georgia Dome and Oglethorpe University.

From 1991 to 2009, I traveled throughout the USA and the world, focusing on athletics and news events important to Georgians, as a photographer and photo editor for the Atlanta Journal Constitution and ajc.com.

Before that, I worked as a wire service photographer and photo editor, traveling the region, nation and world for UPI, Reuters, and AFP. I was one of the first regional freelancers for USA Today.

In my spare time I play bass guitar, and I am a private pilot and an aerial photography specialist.
